Acrylic and Gold Enamel on Canvas, 40” tall x 30” wide
This work is based on the artist’s fascination with The Honor System, a method of consumption and compensation based on the virtue of honor, and the power of conscience.
Though the subject is blinded, the all-seeing-eye centered within his outstretched hand, watches in judgement. His hand placed over his heart near a tiny forget-me-not corsage denotes sincerity.
Symbolically, this piece is meant to confront the viewer with his or her opinions on honesty.
