False Starts portrays several simultaneous narratives symbolizing false starts and new beginnings. All elements point to a deeper meaning of living a life of your own choosing, of your own design. A swimmer stands within a layered dreamscape as somewhat of a heroine amidst the waves, pensive as she navigates the route ahead, ever reminded of all the false starts she’s had along her way. Surrealistic composition techniques materialize the notion of starting, and starting again, as the eye reads the work, left to right.
